Amazon is developing a half-hour untitled series starring Danny DeVito and Jeff Goldblum. Created by The Simpsons writer-producer Tim Long, the comedy hails from Imagine Television. DeVito and Goldblum will play an iconic music duo from the past, Matt Downey (Goldblum) and Arlo Finkleman (DeVito), who are forced to reunite despite their longstanding hatred for one another.

Matt Weiner is back with an unconventional new series, Amazon's The Romanoffs. USA Network has given a 10-episode series order to Mr. Robot, a drama set in the world of cybersecurity starring Christian Slater and Rami Malek. The series is about a young programmer who suffers from a debilitating anti-social disorder and decides that he can only connect to people by hacking them.

With networks increasingly tightening their purse strings, digital platforms like Amazon and Netflix are opening up a whole range of opportunities for European animation producers and sales agents. Netflix, which launched last week in France (along with Germany, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg), has been on a buying spree, picking up five shows, including Pok Et Mok, Alfred, Franklin, and La Petite Geante, from Gaumont Animation. Mattos will play one of the founding members of the Escobar's notorious Medellin cartel. Chris Broncato, Eric Newman, Jose Padilha and Carlo Bernard will executive produce, with Padilha directing the pilot. Broncato, Bernard and Doug Miro penned the script.

Joan Allen will play Colonel Margaret Rayne, the headmaster of an all boys' military academy, in the fourth season of The Killing. Detective Linden and Detective Holder are assigned a new case: a picture-perfect family is murdered, survived only by son Kyle Stansbury, who was shot in the head during the massacre. Stansbury attends Margaret Rayne's school. The new season also stars Gregg Henry, Sterling Beaumon and Levi Meaden. The fourth and final season premieres August 1, 2014 on Netflix.
