Paramount has opened a web site for its latest animated Shrek film, Shrek The Third, which opens May 18, 2007.

NEWS ITEM: 
The Fantastic Four sequel will be called Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer. The movie will be released on June 15, 2007.

NEWS ITEM: 
Star Trek: Legacy, a video game set for release in October from Bethesda Softworks, will feature the voices and likenesses of all the series captains, including William Shatner, Patrick Stewart, Avery Brooks, Kate Mulgrew, and Scott Bakula.

NEWS ITEM: 
Stargate SG-1 will be ending at the end of its current season. The series was the longest running science fiction show in the history of American television, with over 200 episodes in 10 seasons. Stargate Atlantis will continue on for its fourth season.

Syfy will show a one-hour recap special of the original series Battlestar Galactica in advance of the show's October third-season premiere. Battlestar Galactica: The Story So Far will use footage from the original SCI-FI miniseries and the first two seasons of the series.

Syfy and BBC Worldwide Americas have reached a licensing agreement for SCI-FI to air the second season of the British Doctor Who series in the United States. The series will air on Syfy beginning September 29.

Paramount Home Entertainment will release Mission: Impossible III on DVD, HD-DVD and Blu-ray Disc on the same day, October 30.

Current shows returning to the fall schedule include The Batman, Loonatics Unleashed, Xiaolin Showdown, and Johnny Test.
