At this year's video gaming event E3, The Dares, the up-and-coming teen pop/rock band, performed the theme song for the game "Free Realms" as well as songs from their debut album. In sync with the live performance, The Dares performed on stage in Snow Hill in the 3D virtual world of "Free Realms", which was projected behind them on stage at E3. At the event, the Guinness World Records awarded SOE & The Dares for The First Concert Performed Simultaneously in Real Life and Cyberspace. The 82nd Annual Academy Awards will be presented on Sunday, March 7, 2010, live at 8:30 p.m. ET on the ABC Television Network. The ceremony will once again take place at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood. The announcement was made today by Academy President Sid Ganis. Nominations for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards will take place Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at 5:30 a.m., PT from the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles.

Spanish director Juan Antonio Bayona will direct the film version of Eclipse, the third of the Twilight book series written by Stephanie Meyer, with an anticipated June 2010 release date.

Mickey Rourke and Scarlett Johansson have joined the cast of the Iron Man 2 film. Rourke will play the villain Whiplash and Johansson the Russian super-spy, Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow). The film is scheduled for a May 7, 2010 release.

The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards returns to Los Angeles' Staples Center on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, and will air live on the CBS Television Network from 8-11:30 p.m. (ET/PT). To accommodate an earlier date, the eligibility year for the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards will be shortened by one month (Oct. 1, 2008-Aug. 31, 2009). The date for the Grammy Award nominations announcement has not been announced yet.
